The Coventry Leofric Lions’ annual Donkey Derby was held on Saturday 2nd August in the Coventry War Memorial Park. It was a glorious afternoon, and attracted a good turnout. Our stall, which featured the Hammer Slammer, was a popular attraction, and we were able to get our message across to a good number of (swarthy) men! We also made £130 (at 50p a time)! Thanks go to Bob and Dorothy Hill, who organised the stall, and to their friends Cathie and Roger Brown, and Ruth Collister, and members Des and Diane McGauran, Ernie and Kay O’Neill, and Colin and Joy Broomfield who kept things going all afternoon.
