Open Meeting - Thursday, 5th June 2008

Our June Open Meeting was held on Thursday 5 June at 7:30 pm at the Ambleside Sports and Social Club, Ambleside Way (off Higham Lane), Nuneaton.

Our guest speaker was Claire McDowell, who gave us a most informative talk about the work of the Myton Hospices. There are currently two Myton Hospices, one in Warwick and one in Rugby, soon to be followed in 2009 by one in Coventry (on the site of the old Walsgrave Hospital). Claire's presentation made us all appreciate the value of this vital and dedicated service, as well as the need for ongoing local support.

New members were welcomed.
